information : This site is being developed to link together all cancer services in the Hertfordshire, Bedfordshire and Greater London area.

The site has to adhere to the government's white paper on NHS site management.

my role : I am responsible for the maintenance and development of all Hertfordshire NHS sites both internally and externally as per government standards.  Part of the development process involves inter departmental liaison with all levels of management and external but public bodies. 

During the development of the site we have enlisted the feedback of a group of cancer patients who sit within Hertfordshire testing new initiatives. Initial feedback from the group shows that the users are happy with the site navigation, accessibility of the site and content.

The initial phase of this site went live in November of 2002. Future additions include further cancer information, service details and a sister site concentrating of staff necessities.

In order to develop this site I use the following applications, FrontPage 2002, Photo Shop, Microsoft Office applications and cleaning HTML using TextPad.
